2009 Imaging Informatics Professional Bootcamp Now Available!

SIIM is pleased to offer the 2009 Imaging Informatics Professional (IIP) Web Seminar designed as an introductory course of study and based on the ABII IIP exam test content outline. This 8.0 hour course will get you started on meeting your professional goals to be an effective and competent imaging informatics professional (PACS administrator). It is also the ideal primer for all practitioners who want to learn the basics of imaging informatics, and digital medical imaging.

This online course has been approved by the ASRT for 8.0 hours of Category A continuing education credit. Registrants will receive a certificate verifying the number of credits earned after the test has been completed. The test is to be submitted after the completion of the entire symposium content.

Practical Informatics for the Imaging Physician Bootcamp
Now Available!

Practical Informatics for the Imaging Physician Bootcamp has been designed with two goals in mind. First, to provide a solid foundation of imaging informatics to all physicians, regardless of their subspecialty. Second, to provide increasing busy physicians with a self-paced learning program, that can be accessed 24/7 to meet the ever-increasing time constraints that physicians face on a daily basis.

The 4-hour course has been created with a "soup to nuts" mentality. Physicians will learn ways to improve their efficiencies and workflow to include e-communication strategies, how to maneuver through digital dashboards, ergonomic reading environment techniques, PACS process procedures, advanced imaging techniques and how imaging informatics is being integrated into various subspecialties, particularly Pathology.  This course will provide you with the fundamentals of imaging informatics through audio/visual presentations, succinct PowerPoint presentations, as well as culminating review questions. The course also offers the option to submit questions online to the faculty.

Continuing Medical Education

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essentials and Standards of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through joint sponsorship of the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) and the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine.

The Society of Interventional Radiology is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Society of Interventional Radiology has approved this educational activity for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
